I Love My City of Berkeley

"I Loves me some Berkeley"... a few weekends back, I went to the 7th annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival. An annual free 3-day festival, held in Golden Gate Park. One of the highlights was seeing Jeff Tweedy (of Wilco fame) perform solo. He's a rambler, and enjoys trying to start new trends in slang or phrases. He reiterated his urge to get people to stop saying "Loves me some." He hated the expression so much that he told us more than once that we should all stop saying "loves me some" and start using his favorite instead "Love it so bad." So in honor of Jeff Tweedy, I "Love Berkeley So Bad!"

Why? Well, because Berkeley could be the first city to ever institute a solar energy assistance program for Berkeley home owners. The plan sounds great on paper, and I hope that it can work as well as they envision. I'm sure that it will take some time to iron it out to work best and be extremely beneficial for property owners to take the initiative and sign up. Check out the details of this story at the San Francisco Chronicle.
