I Got My Face Rawked OFF!

I don't know about you guys, but years back I thought I had finished my hard rock phase. I had my fill of Metallica, Godsmack and Ozzy. I know that I'll never get sick of like Zepplin and Rage Against the Machine (can you say Coachella!?). But last night, my faith was restored that hard rock still lives and it took Boulder rockers Rose Hill Drive to prove it to me.

It had to have been 7 or 8 years since I had been to a concert and actually head-banged (missing the long hair now, not quite the same)! Anyway, Rose Hill Drive (official site) played to a sold out crowd at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco last night. We were surprised to hear it was sold out, and several of my friends didn't make it in. I really think this is one of those bands who just "have it." I think that point is proven by the fact they will be embarking on a slew of dates opening for The Who later this year. So, first off, a trio rocking this hard? Hell yea. Secondly, they're tight, LOUD, they have great stage presence, catchy songs, very strong vocals, killer pig skins (think Bonham) and rawking guitar riffs and solos! So what more do you want in a rock band?

You really need to see this band, no question.
